Picking poppies

A play with different textures to highlight the beauty of California landscapes - a sea of golden poppies with Mt. Baldy in the distance. The poppies are made up of tiny French knots in shades of warm yellow and orange.

The embroidery is created directly onto the postcard using French cotton embroidery thread and hand-dyed silk thread. 

The vintage postcard measures about 3.5"x5.25" and will arrive unframed. The artwork will be signed and dated in pencil on the back. A certificate of authenticity is included.
