Offcut collection: Squiggle study

I like to collect excess thread from my art pieces into a glass jar. The thread is sometimes used in new projects, but as a fun way to reduce waste and challenge myself between pieces, I've begun exploring abstract design using only excess thread.

Each abstract piece is created on cotton handmade paper from a Kansas-based artisan. Everything is created spontaneously, colors and composition evolving as it is made. 

Each piece is on a 5" circle with a natural deckle edge.
