Cherry blossoms at Kawaguchi Lake

An attempt to recreate the glorious magic of cherry blossoms during beautiful springtime. The blossoms are made up of hundreds of French knots in varying shades of pink, rose and cream, in multiple sizes that have been layered to create further depth.

The embroidery is created directly onto the postcard using French cotton embroidery thread and hand-dyed silk thread. The original image depicts the cherry blossoms with view of Mount Fuji.

The vintage postcard measures 3.5"x5.5" and will arrive unframed. The artwork will be signed and dated in pencil on the back. A certificate of authenticity is included.
